Who we are
We're Ecommerce & Digital Marketing Management Limited t/a Content Engine 52 and Signature Creative Studio, and this Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our apps and tools. Our apps are built on Base44, which means some of your information is stored securely on their servers too. We're based in the UK and follow UK GDPR rules.
The information we collect
When you use our apps, we may collect:
- Your name and email address – so we can create your account and contact you.
- Payment details – processed securely by our payment provider (we don't store your card details).
- Content you create or upload in the app – this belongs to you, but we store it so the app works properly.
- App usage data – so we can fix bugs, improve features, and understand how our apps are used.
- Social media connection data – when you connect Facebook, Instagram, or LinkedIn accounts to schedule posts, we store access tokens and basic profile information (username, profile picture, page/account IDs) to enable the publishing functionality.
How we use your information
We use your data to:
- Give you access to the app you've bought or subscribed to.
- Provide customer support.
- Improve and develop our apps.
- Send you relevant updates or information about your app (you can unsubscribe from marketing emails anytime).
- Publish content to your connected social media accounts (Facebook Pages, Instagram Business accounts, LinkedIn profiles) on your behalf, only when you explicitly schedule posts through the app.
We never sell your data.
Social media integrations (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn)
When you connect your Facebook, Instagram, or LinkedIn accounts to Content Engine 52:
- What we access: We request permissions to view your Facebook Pages, Instagram Business accounts, and LinkedIn profile information, and to publish posts on your behalf.
- How we use it: We use these permissions solely to schedule and publish content you create in the app to your social media accounts at the times you specify. We never post anything without your explicit instruction.
- What we store: We securely store your social media access tokens, usernames, page/account IDs, and profile pictures to maintain the connection and enable scheduled posting.
- What we don't do: We do not access your personal messages, read your news feed, collect data about your followers/friends, or use your social media data for any purpose other than publishing your scheduled content.
- Your control: You can disconnect any social media account at any time from within the app settings. Disconnecting will revoke our access and delete your stored access tokens.
- Third party terms: Your use of Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn through our app is also subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies.
Who we share it with
We only share your data with:
- Base44 – to host and run the apps.
- Stripe payment providers – to process your payment.
- Facebook/Meta, LinkedIn – to enable social media posting functionality (we send your content and access tokens to their APIs to publish posts).
- Analytics and support tools – to help us improve our service.
- Legal authorities – if we're required to by law.
How we protect your data
We use secure hosting, encryption where possible, and limit access to authorised people only. Base44 also has its own strong security measures in place. Social media access tokens are stored securely and encrypted in our database.
How long we keep your data
- While you have an active account.
- For up to 12 months after you stop using the app (unless you ask us to delete it sooner).
- Social media access tokens are deleted immediately when you disconnect an account or delete your account.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you can:
- Ask for a copy of your data.
- Ask us to correct or delete your data.
- Withdraw consent for marketing.
- Disconnect any social media accounts and have your access tokens deleted.
